Solidarity Fund

Many TWU Local 100 retirees donated to the Local 100 Solidarity Fund. It is astonishing that retirees who live on a fixed income would come out to support active TWU members who may have been let go by the MTA.

Local 100 has promised to return the balance those donations made by active members. What we haven't heard is that the over $95,000 dollars donated by the retirees will be returned. It's Easy for the local to do as the part time bookkeeper makes copies of every check that goes to the Retirees Association.

The money donated by retirees was not used by Local 100 for the stated purpose and should be returned to the retirees. You can't put out a call for help for one thing and use it for another. Return the money!
